The Lair sits between three states in the NC Mountains, just a stone's throw from Hayesville and Brasstown but close to Murphy and Hiawassee, GA. We are close to the GA Mountain Fair, John Campbell Folk School, Lake Chatuge, Fontana Dam, and great trout fishing in creeks (don’t forget to get a license!).

Boat rental, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking are among the many activities available in the area. A cinema, antiques, and hometown charm can be found in neighboring towns.

Cozy Stays for You and Pets
This 2-bedroom, 1½-bath will sleep 4-5 people. Wake up to deer, sounds of whippoorwills and roosters. Watch out for the wild turkey’s too. Your pooch is welcome too, but please, no cats—the owner is allergic!!! The yard is partially fenced, so walking the dog is a breeze, as the back porch leads to the fenced-in area, or walk around the small neighborhood and enjoy the mountain scenery and sounds.
